There is a highly efficient and comprehensive transportation system in Hong Kong which brings you to Hong Kong easily.
  • By airplane
    The majority of foreign visitors get to Hong Kong by airplane. Wherever you depart from, you arrive at the Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA). Please note that there are two terminals at HKIA.

  • By ferry
    There are several sea routes for visitors getting to Hong Kong from different ports of Mainland China. Passengers normally arrive at the China (HK) Ferry Terminal in Tsim Sha Tsui or the Hong Kong – Macau Ferry Terminal in Sheung Wan.

  • By train
    If you want to travel from Mainland China to Hong Kong by train, intercity train operated by Mass Transit Railway (MTR) would be your choice.

    Three train routes connect Beijing, Shanghai and some major cites of Guangdong to Hong Kong. There are several trains traveling these routes daily. For more details, please visit the website for information.

Visa
  • In normal cases, holders of US and European passports will be granted a 90-day visa-free period in Hong Kong. However, visitors from Mainland China or Chinese residents of Taiwan may need to apply for a visa or entry permit.
