After receiving his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in theoretical physics from Madrid Autonomous University, Pablo Soler obtained his PhD from the Institute for Theoretical Physics of Madrid in 2012. His research is focused on string theory, its formal aspects and its potential applications to particle physics. He currently holds a joint postdoctoral appointment at the HKUST Institute for Advanced Study and the University of Wisconsin at Madison.
