IAS PROGRAM ON PARTICLE THEORY
Heavy Spinning Particles from Signs of Primordial Non-Gaussianities
Mr. Suro KIM, Kobe University
Date : 30 May 2019 (Thursday)
Time : 2:45 pm
Venue : IAS4042, 4/F, Lo Ka Chung Building, Lee Shau Kee Campus, HKUST

Abstract

Primordial non-Gaussianity can be thought of as a Hubble scale particle collider, the so-called the cosmological collider program. In particular, their oscillating feature is a powerful tool to probe new particles around the Hubble scale like the ordinary particle collider. However, the speaker and his research team admit the necessity to invent a new approach to probe particles heavier than the Hubble scale. In this talk, he will demonstrate that the sign of the effective interactions of inflation can be used to probe spins of new particles heavier than the Hubble scale, enlarging the scope of the cosmological collider.
