Cachazo, He, and Yuan (CHY) proposed in 2013 a new set of formulas for scalar, gluon, and graviton tree amplitudes. These formulas are based on Mobius invariance, no Lagrangian is introduced to specify the interaction, and the Kawai-Lewellan-Tye (KLT) relation between gluon and graviton amplitudes is automatically satisfied. in this lecture, the speaker will discuss the similarities and differences, and the pros and cons, between the CHY formula and the usual calculation based on Feynman diagrams, for the gluon amplitude. Their relation to the spinor helicity technique will also be discussed.
The seminar is free and open to all. Seating is on a first come, first served basis.
