IAS DISTINGUISHED LECTURE
Controlling Light and Microflows to Create Functional Particles
Prof Patrick Doyle, Singapore Research Professor of Chemical Engineering, Massachusetts Institute of Technology
Date : 1 Apr 2014 (Tuesday)
Time : 3:30 - 5:00 pm
Venue : IAS Lecture Theater, Lo Ka Chung Building, Lee Shau Kee Campus, HKUST
Video & Photos Details

Prof Patrick Doyle from Massachusetts Institute of Technology presents his research on developing encoded microparticles using Stop Flow Lithography (SFL). He describes the fundamental principles in SFL and give demonstrative examples of particles that can be synthesized. He also discusses two methods to encode information into the particles, one for use in bioassays and the other for use in anticounterfeiting.

The lecture is free and open to all. Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis.
Light refreshments will be served from 3:00 to 3:30 pm.
