The multibody system composed of many rigid and flexible parts, as well as joints with free-plays, is a kind of useful model for numerous products in space engineering and mechanical engineering. Prof Haiyan Hu from Beijing Institute of Technology presents his recent advances in the dynamics and control of rigid-flexible multibody systems involving free-play joints.
