In this talk, the speaker will explain how the exact 1 loop free energy of the static patch for D-dimensional de Sitter space can be computed as a simple integral transform of an SO(1,D) bulk character, corrected by an SO(1,D-2) "edge character", for fields with arbitrary mass and spin. The bulk character captures the particle content of the theory and counts quasinormal modes (QNM) in the bulk. The edge character counts edge modes on the horizon. He will also comment on the applications to Vasiliev theories.
