Abstract

In this talk, the speaker will explain basic background materials, such as brane realization of gauge theories and introduce new brane description for 6d susy field theories. The key conjectural fact is that many 6d CFTs become UV fixed point theories of another 5d gauge theories. His new foundings, the Tao web, which is depicted as spiral 5-branes web equipped with the cyclic structure will also be introduced to understand the uplifting to 6 dimensions.
