Welcome Message

As the spearhead to foster creativity, the HKUST Jockey Club Institute for Advanced Study (IAS) supports interdisciplinary research at HKUST and provides a platform for catalytic interaction among the world's foremost artists, scholars and innovators in the pursuit of connecting art and technology.

“Stories of Creativity – Lecture Series by Wallace Chan”, presented by the IAS, has invited the world-renowned artist and jewelry creator, Mr. Wallace Chan (陳世英先生) to take audience on a journey in discovering how creativity inspires artistry and transforms technology. This lecture series also draws together scholars, curators and engineers to share their experience on curating art and creations in this information age.

This lecture series will be held with the use of live hologram (全息投影), the first-of-its-kind lecture in HKUST to embody the coexistence of art and science. The speaker will be beamed as a live person on stage to speak and interact with audience in real time and without borders.

All lectures will be held in Hong Kong time and delivered in English.

*This is a recognized event in the "Self-directed Experience" component of CORE1905: Behavioral Foundations of University Education: Habits, Mindsets, and Wellness. You need to attend each lecture in person and in full to get 1 hour.
