Overview
The brain is a complex system that receives stimuli from the outside world with many sensory modalities. The brain further encodes them into neural codes and integrates them as spatial perception to allow navigation. Understanding this sequential process will not only unveil the computational principles of the neural system but also inspire us for the treatment of neural diseases and to develop systems in the emerging area of brain-machine interface.
The Workshop aims to bring together active scientists to discuss recent progress in the study of neural codes, sensing, and navigation. It will promote interdisciplinary interactions among the fields of neuroscience, computation and engineering, and lead to new collaborations.
Organizer and workshop participants gather for a group photo.
