Dr Ting ZHANG
Research Assistant Professor of Physics, HKUST
Dr. Ting Zhang received his bachelor’s degree and PhD in Electronics from Peking University in 2002 and 2008 respectively. After graduation, Dr. Zhang joined the Department of Physics at HKUST as a Research Associate and currently he is a Research Assistant Professor. Collaborating with his research partners, Dr. Zhang has published 14 papers in Physical Review B, Advanced Functional Materials and Nano Letters etc. Dr. Zhang's research interests include the first principle calculation of phonon and electron-phonon interaction related properties of CNT and graphene nanoribbons, the renormalization group treatment of superconductivity/CDW condensation in carbon nanotube system, the localization related transport behaviors in graphene based systems, the simulations of cold atom systems and topological related properties of solid-state materials, etc.
