Overview

This three-day summit is hosted by the HKUST Jockey Club Institute of Advanced Study (IAS) in collaboration with the Hong Kong branch of Chinese National Engineering Research Center for Control and Treatment of Heavy Metal Pollution (CNERC-CTHMP). 17 top experts have been invited to share their visions and thoughts on the future system and technology developments for water pollution control in the world. This event will provide an excellent opportunity for water professionals, academics, regulators and policy makers to learn from top water leaders and to stimulate exchange and discussion on water sustainability among the speakers and participants.

The summit also serves as one of the celebration events for HKUST’s 25th anniversary in relation to sustainability research, which is one of the university’s strategic development areas, as well as the official inauguration of the Hong Kong branch of CNERC-CTHMP newly approved by the Chinese Ministry of Science and Technology.
